ADOBO CONTEST

 

KINDLY READ THIS INFORMATION CAREFULLY PRIOR TO SIGNING

THE CONTRACT.

 

When:             Adobo Contest always takes place on the last day of the

                         event. (Sunday)

                        All entrees should be at the festival venue by 11:30 am,

                        judging starts at 12pm.

Awards:         First: $200 + trophy

                       Second: $100 + trophy

                       Third: $50 + trophy

                        (Prices sponsored by Datu Puti)

 

Eligibility: The contest is open to amateur cooks only, 18 years or older. Professional food experts are not eligible.

 

Procedures of contest:

- Ingredients can be prepared at home the night before the contest.

- You must bring your own fresh meat of choice (at least 5 lbs.), spices, etc.

- We will provide the main ingredients which is Datu Puti Vinegar and Soy Sauce.

- You can choose any kind of meat, seafood or vegetables to be combined on your version.

- You will be given 15 mins.- 20 mins. to cook in front of the audience and judges.

- You can bring your own cookware as you are already used to it, we will provide the burner and butane. 

- After cooking, you have to put your version in the provided aluminum tray to finish up your presentation.

 

Recipes must be original, not copied from any source. The more creative you can be, the better. Presentation definitely counts.

 

Criteria for Judging:              Taste / Flavor / Texture = 50%

                                                Originality / Uniqueness = 20%

                                                Appearance / Presentation = 20%

                                                Relevance to the Theme of the Competition = 10%
